The Camarillo General Plan is our blueprint for the future. It’s a long range plan built on a shared vision that describes the kind of community that residents want and identifies actions we can take to realize the vision. The City is updating the General Plan to address emerging issues and new State laws and to achieve key objectives, including:
- Promoting responsible growth management;
- Seeking to preserve agricultural land and open space around Camarillo;
- Prioritizing infill development in targeted areas to make better use of urbanized land;
- Supporting business attraction and retention;
- Improving traffic circulation and multi-modal connectivity;
- Ensuring efficient delivery of public services; and
- Enhancing local quality of life with a focus on community health, art, and culture.
Community participation is essential for the success of the Plan and throughout the process there will be numerous opportunities for everyone in Camarillo to have their say. We want to hear from you to make sure the Plan reflects the priorities of our community!
